About Our Founder
Introducing Heather!
Heather Burkett-Ocasio is the founder of Events With A Twist in Jacksonville, Florida. Her love for party planning started in her hometown in South Florida, where she gained a reputation for creating unique, unforgettable events. After years of helping family and friends with their special occasions, she earned certifications in Event Planning and Wedding Planning from the New York Institute of Art & Design in 2020.
She launched Events With A Twist in January 2024 to bring her passion for unique, creative, interactive entertainment to life. Her approach focuses on building genuine connections through fun activities that help guests break out of their shells and have a blast. Each event is tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone involved, and she's ecstatic to have a 5.0 star business on Google!
Outside of event planning, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kitties, writing, reading, and crafting.

She aims to expand her offerings to include paint and craft parties, grow brand awareness, and solidify her reputation as a top event entertainment provider in Northeast Florida!
